Update on Prayer Requests & More

1. Many team members were struggling with health issues. (Typhoid, Malaria, Stomach infections, Lung issues, and more.) This week has brought some relief, but some are still struggling. Please keep praying. My own health has been much better now for the past 2 weeks.

 2. The young lady that some of you joined in me praying for regarding demonic spirits has been set free of the demons that were torturing her for over 3 years.  She is a radically different girl. She went back to live with her father. Please pray for continued spiritual growth for her. She had wanted to stay at the home where she was receiving help, but her father required her assistance as he has health issues and can't live alone. Her family are not believers, and clearly she needs more growth in her spiritual walk. Pray for continued healing and encounters with the person of JC. Pray for her to find someone near her home that can mentor her and walk this new spiritual journey with her.

 3. The visit to the witch's house went ok. It wasn't anything dramatic or much of a big deal at all. Pray for continued opportunities to talk with her and share truth as the Father leads.

 4. Monsoon is here and it makes it harder to travel to the local villages. Pray with me for sunny days when needed to travel and safety on the slippery rocks and muddy trails.  Landslides and Mudslides happen regularly during monsoon.  Mondays and Tuesday are my normal village days, occasionally I go on Saturdays as well. We want to continue our relationship building even during the next 3 months of monsoon. We want to be able to follow up with people who we have given Big Books too and continue to lead and guide them in their journey with JC. Please ask for cooperating weather and safety.

 5. Each week I am doing counseling with about 8 boys who are processing through hardships and trauma of the past. The last few weeks have proven to reveal much lies, hurt, and anger. Pray with me that every Tuesday night as G0d reveals His light and truth, the boys would have hearts to receive His love and work of the cro$s, and that they would come to understand that transformation and healing possible through JC.

But God...

Every Knee Will Bow And Every Tongue Will Confess Truly everywhere we look is need- physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual. I see the man with elephantitis lift his giant leg to shift his position as he sits on a mat begging for money on the side of the road. I see a woman sitting on a patch of grass on the edge of a busy highway practicing her meditation attempting to find her inner peace. I see a young girl on her way to school stop to touch the street cow and then touch her own forehead in hopes that her Hindu practices will reap the blessing from her god (cow). Simultaneously, I see a shop keeper allow the giant cow to mosey along his street front restaurant; he even offers the cow freshly made roti (bread) as to not offend his “god” passing by. I see another person practicing yoga with all the pristine positions and poses. The ugliness I sometimes see

We returned home today, August 18th, to the vastly different country that I now call "home". The things I so easily become immune to while living here rage their ugly heads whenever I return. It’s a mini culture shock and re-initiation if you will. I watched from my hotel window as a woman outside bathed her child in brown water. They live in an uncompleted brick shack with holes and a plastic sheet roof that monsoon has mostly destroyed already. Besides the beauty in the color of the scraps of clothes they are wearing there is nothing beautiful to the sight. No running water, no comforts to enjoy- simply day to day survival. My heart broke as I watched her. I looked down to my own sleeping baby tucked away in a nice crib with clean sheets and clean clothes. Sin is a horrible thing!
